My name is Angela Charalambous, and I am a reading specialist and the owner of The Workshop Reading Centre. I hold a Master’s degree in Linguistics from the University of South Africa and previously lectured in the Speech and Hearing Department at the University of the Witwatersrand.
In 2004, I introduced the Cellfield reading intervention to South Africa from Australia and currently serve as the Master Licensee for both South Africa and Cyprus. My peer-reviewed research, titled “A Longitudinal Study of the Efficacy of the Cellfield Reading Intervention in a South African Context,” was published in the Australian Journal of Learning Difficulties.

Over the years, I have worked extensively with children of all ages who face reading challenges and have developed and presented a range of workshops for educators, parents, and specialists. One of my key initiatives, “Experiencing the Child with Learning Difficulties,” aims to build empathy and understanding around the emotional and academic struggles these children face.
I am committed to a collaborative, evidence-based approach and regularly liaise with families, teachers, and allied professionals to ensure that each learner receives the support they need to build confidence, develop skills and thrive academically.
